Acadia Trad School Events
- Friday, August 15th, Acadia Trad School's artists in residence, Chris Gray and Gus La Casse will perform at the World Acadian Congress in Madawaska Maine. This is a very special honor with national exposure. CONGRATS CRHIS AND GUS!!!
- Friday, June 13th, Acadia Trad School's artists in residence, Chris Gray and Gus La Casse will perform Acadian Music at the Common Good Soup Kitchen in Southwest Harbor at 6:30PM. Dinner will be served.
- Thursday, May 29th, Acadia Trad School and New England Celtic Arts present Maeve Gilchrist and Nic Gareiss at the Sweet Pea's Cafe in Bar Harbor at 7:00PM. Tickets are $15. For more information, check out the press release.
- Sunday, May 18th, Acadia Trad School's artists in residence, Chris Gray and Gus La Casse, perform Acadian music at the Jessup Library in Bar Harbor from 2 to 3PM.
- Saturday, April 12th, Acadia Trad School's director will be on WERU talking about this year's school program and playing tunes with master accordion player, Chris (Dr) Brinn. Live streaming is available.
- Saturday, April 5th, Acadia Trad School's own Acadian music duo, Août Gris, will be performing this evening on the same stage as another Acadia Trad School band, The Trad Heads. The evening starts at 5:30 with a dinner. Music starts at 7:00PM at the UUCE in Ellsworth Maine.
- Saturday, March 22nd, all day The Down East Country Dance Festival. Acadia Trad School will be there! Stop by our booth and say "hi." Find out more abou this year's program.
- Saturday, December 14th, 6:00PM: One for the Common Good an evening of food, fun, people, and music at the Common Good Soup Kitchen in Southwest Harbor (Seawall). 566 Seawall Road. This is a family friendly event. There will be a fish-fry and other food. All you can eat for $12 (donation). Kids 1/2 price, and under 6 yrs are FREE. Bring your trad instrument and join the jam session after the openning musical performances. Call 207.266.2773 for more information.
- Sunday, August 4th, 7:00PM: An evening of Irish and Old Time music at the College of the Atlantic Gates Auditorium with Velocipede and Inis Oirr (see poster below).
- Wednesday, June 12th, 7:00-9:00PM: Second Wednesday, Trad Slow Session at the Trenton Grange in Trenton Maine
- Sunday, June 9th, 5:00PM-7:00PM: Second Sunday Trad Session at Geaghan's Irish Pub in Bangor. This session is mostly Irish. The session is somewhat advanced led by accordion master, Chrish Brinn, and Chuck Donnely (director of Acadia Trad School). All levels welcome, just come to have fun; everyone fits in.
